Heads up for a water flow test in Hopkinton on Thursday morning. Water-Sewer Manager Eric J. Carty says tomorrow morning they will be doing a required hydrant flow test for the new elementary school on Hayden Rowe. Carty says it should only last a few minutes but they ask that if you live near the school, you avoid using any water from around 10am-1015 am, and then after that expect the water could be discolored for a while because the velocity at which they run the water can stir up sediment. If your water is a funky color, run the cold-water pipes for a bit.
