Hopkinton is holding a public hearing about the upcoming plan to allow citizens to buy power in bulk as a group. In November the Town applied to the Department of Public Utilities to start the municipal aggregation plan and has chosen MassPowerChoice as a consultant to help start the Program. If you are not already enrolled with a competitive electric supplier, you would be automatically enrolled in the Program unless you chose to opt out and keep your basic service with Eversource. The public hearing is January 22.
