A guilty plea by the owner of Brier Recover Centers has federal prosecutors asking the court for a ten-year sentence while Michael Brier is asking the court for a four-year sentence. Brier owned 14 rehab centers here in Massachusetts and in Rhode Island. He pleaded guilty of defrauding his patients by overbilling for services.
