By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Holliston Select Board says they expect a very smooth transition as they look for a new town administrative leader after Town Administrator Travis Ahern was hired to be the Executive Director of the state’s Cannabis Control Commission. As we reported last week, Ahern will stay with Holliston through March 1. But as Select Board Chair Tina Hein points out in a statement, with the Town Manager Act making its way through the state legislature, Ahern’s replacement could end up being the town’s first ever Town Manager, rather than Town Administrator. Heim says the Select Board will contract with an executive search firm.
