By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Wrentham Police have a new support for officers responding to people in a mental health crisis. Janelle Emmanuel has begun working as the co-response clinician and will be shared with the Norfolk and Plainville Police. Emmanuel has experience as a crisis counselor, case worker and group counselor for correctional facilities and has been a domestic violence advocate. Her job is fully grant-funded through the Co-Response Jail Diversion Program aimed at getting nonviolent offenders help instead of going to jail.
