ByMyFM’s Claire Beverly – Milford Police have unraveled an insurance scam they say they learned about after a police department vehicle was in a crash. One officer was hurt in the February 2023 crash in which the police SUV was hit by another SUV whose unlicensed driver ran a stop sign. Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino tells the Daily News when they went to put in a claim with the other driver’s insurance, they learned another person actually owned the car and the uninsurable, unlicensed driver was paying them to use it, which is fraud.
