By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Hopkinton Fire Department is auctioning off one of its old fire engines. According to the website Municibid.com the opening bid was set for $5,000 for the 2002 E-One Pumper Cyclone that has about 48,000 miles on it. It has a 1,200-gallon water tank and 10,000-watt generator. Officials tell the Hopkinton Independent the truck had reached its life expectancy and the town recently bought two new trucks. Meanwhile proceeds from the sale of the old truck will go to the Town. You can see it by appointment.
