By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Town of Franklin is planning a welcome home celebration for Olympian Kristi Kirshe later this month. Kirshe is a member of the US Women’s Rugby team who won the Bronze medal last week, the first ever medal for Team USA Women’s Rugby. Franklin’s Recreation Director says they are planning a celebration on Tuesday, August 20 at 6pm on the Town Common. He says details are still being worked out but they are hoping for Council Proclamation and maybe a Q&A session for Kristi with some young athletes.
