By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Hopkinton has a new Town Manager, but she is a familiar face. At their meeting last night the Select Board voted unanimously to appoint interim Town Manager Elaine Lazarus into the job. The Hopkinton Independent reports the Select Board interviewed the final four candidates each for 45 minutes then took the vote after the rest of the meeting. Lazarus has worked for the Town of Hopkinton for more than 30 years including as Assistant Town Manager. The Select Board now has to negotiate a contract with her.
