By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Franklin is included within a proposed multi-billion-dollar state housing plan. The state House has approved a $6.5 billion plan to spur affordable housing construction but with changes that now have to go through the state Senate. The Franklin Observer reports that at this week’s Town Council meeting, the Town Administrator Jamie Hellen says State Rep. Jeff Roy got into the plan $3 million toward the proposed Franklin Ridge Senior Housing development which would be located off Veterans Memorial Drive.
