Franklin High Graduate Ji-Yann Chin Wins Library Scholarship

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – 2023 Franklin High School Graduate Ji-Yann Chin has won The Friends of Franklin Library Scholarship in Memory of Wilma Winters. Ji-Yann received $1,000 toward the cost of her college education based on an essay about what gives her hope for the future. Ji-Yann is a first-year student at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, studying microbiology and public health. The annual scholarship is part of several efforts to honor the late Wilma Winters, a longtime Franklin resident and library supporter.
