Milford Police Sergeant Files $1 Million Lawsuit Alleging Discrimination and Retaliation

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A Milford Police Sergeant’s lawsuit against the town is reportedly based on three allegations. As we reported Monday Sgt. Kara Maguire filed a lawsuit in 2022 alleging gender discrimination for being passed over for promotions. The Daily News reports the $1 million suit also alleges a hostile work environment and retaliation and seeks the money for lost wages, lost pension and benefits, and emotional distress. A judge has reportedly ordered Maguire to provide documentation for some of her claims.
