By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – It was standing room only at last night’s Hopkinton Select Board meeting as dozens turned out to take the Select Board to task for the handling of police Sgt Tim Brennan, who was facing termination for not reporting his knowledge of one-time Deputy Chief Jay Porter allegedly sexually assaulting a student in the early 2000’s for which Porter faces charges. Residents who spoke overwhelmingly supported Brennan keeping his job and also lambasted the Select Board over the Police Department’s leak of the victim’s name.
