By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Hopkinton Select Board is reportedly working on negotiating a disciplinary settlement for, rather than firing, police Sgt Tim Brennan, who was accused by the Police Chief of not reporting his knowledge of former School Resource Officer, and one-time Deputy Chief, Jay Porter allegedly sexually assaulting a student, for which Porter faces charges. Following a hearing Friday, which included Brennan’s explanation and much public sentiment, both for and against him, both sides agreed to negotiate for 30 days.
