Hopkinton School Committee Examines FY2025 Budget, Discusses Teacher Ratios; Public Forum on January 11

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Hopkinton School Committee continues to dig into the proposed fiscal year 2025 budget which currently sits just north of $63 million, about 5.35% higher than last year.  The Hopkinton Independent reports at their meeting last week the superintendent said it represents 7.3 teachers for every 100 students with disabilities while neighboring communities have a 10 per 100 ratio or more. There is a public forum on the budget set for January 11 with the School Committee expected to vote on it January 18.
