By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Franklin has a road detour starting today as part of the Beaver Street Interceptor construction. The 108-year-old pipeline, which carries over 70% of the Town’s sewage with an average daily flow of approximately 1.5 million gallons per day, is being rebuilt over the next two-and-a-half years due to overall deterioration. Starting today, expect detours along parts of Old West Central Street, Pond Street, and Rolling Ridge Road as construction gets underway. Officials say local businesses will stay open.
