The Worcester Red Sox Team Sold to New York-based Diamond Baseball Holdings

The Worcester Red Sox have confirmed the report from earlier this week that the team has been sold to New York-based Diamond Baseball Holdings which owns more than 20 minor league baseball teams including two other Boston Red Sox affiliates. And as a fan we should not see much of a change. Many of the current ownership group are staying on board with a stake in the club, the team remain the Red Sox Triple-A affiliate and they will stay at Polar Park with their lease locked in regardless of ownership though 2056.
