MARLBOROUGH – Lost Shoe Brewing & Roasting Company is preparing for its sixth annual Turkey Trot for Tots 5K, a community race benefiting Toys for Tots.
The race takes place Sunday, November 23rd at 10 AM at 19 Weed Street. Day-of registration runs from 8 AM to 9:30 AM. Free parking is available next to the start line at 1 Court Street.
All registered runners will receive one free raffle ticket for the event’s major raffle, which includes gift baskets donated by local businesses. Additional tickets may be purchased for $10 each or earned by donating a new, unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots collection box.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three runners in the Male, Female, and Non-Binary divisions. First-place winners will receive a $100 Lost Shoe gift card, second-place winners a $75 card, and third-place winners a $50 card.
All proceeds from the 5K will be used to purchase toys for the Toys for Tots program. Donated toys will be delivered to the Marlborough Fire Department, which will coordinate distribution across local communities.
After the race, Santa Claus will arrive by fire truck at 12:30 PM for photos with participants. A toy donation earns a free photo, and all pictures must be taken with the participant’s phone.
Last year, Lost Shoe raised more than $7,500 for Toys for Tots—a company record. Co-founder JP Gallagher expects even higher participation this year, noting that the race “shows how big of an impact we can all make together… the bigger we grow the race, the more we can raise for Toys for Tots.”
