1943 - 2026
Bill was the husband of the late Barbara “Jeanne” Uhlman. He was the son of the late John and Marjorie (Sheehan) Uhlman and was predeceased by his brothers, John “Jackie,” Parker “Tinker,” and David Uhlman, as well as his grandchild, Jay Murray.
He was raised and educated in Westborough and was a 1961 graduate of Westborough High School. Bill was also a member of the Congregational Church of Westborough.
A highly skilled mechanic, Bill founded John S. Uhlman Co., which began as a lawn mower repair business and later expanded into auto repair. Through his work, he became well known throughout the Westborough community. He was also talented in woodworking and enjoyed working with his hands.
In his younger years, Bill loved vacationing with his family and extended family in York Beach, Maine. After retiring, he found joy in driving the school bus for his grandchildren, Lexi and Will, and spending time building puzzles with his wife. He was also a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan, and you could often find him watching or listening to a game.
Bill is survived by his children, James Uhlman of Worcester, Kim Pueschel of Worcester, Kevin Uhlman of Boston, Missy Fratoni and her husband Gary of Westborough, and Heidi Uhlman of Washington, New Hampshire. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund, a proud partner of the Boston Red Sox.
In keeping with Bill’s wishes, services will be private.
