1936 - 2026
A proud graduate of Hopedale High School, Bill earned his bachelor's degree from Clark University before embarking on a distinguished career in the medical instruments industry. He worked for many years at the former Damon Engineering Corporation and International Equipment Company, following more than a decade with the former Draper Corporation. Bill also proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army.
Music was one of Bill's greatest passions. A longtime member of the Union Church, he shared his talents as an accomplished organist and pianist. He was also a gifted soloist and dedicated member of local choirs for more than 50 years, touching many lives through his love of music.
Bill also enjoyed traveling and photography, capturing the beauty of the places he visited. His favorite destination was Shediac, New Brunswick, Canada, which he fondly referred to as his "happy place." He also enjoyed spending winters in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Known for his loving, kind, and thoughtful nature, Bill left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He is survived by his beloved life partner and best friend, Nadine Tarmy; his brother, Robert Redden and his wife, Joan, of North Falmouth; and many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Linda C. (York) Redden.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 10th, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, located at 42 Congress Street in Milford.
A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Wounded Warrior Project.
