1935 - 2025
Born in Newton, Massachusetts on February 3, 1935, Ginny was the daughter of James and Agnes (Brown) Mills. She was raised in Needham, where she graduated from Needham High School before attending Framingham Teachers College.
Ginny was a woman of many passions and talents. She loved gardening, reading, painting, and sewing, and found joy in the simple pleasures of life — especially the beach and traveling. She had a remarkable gift for connecting with others; as her family fondly recalls, Ginny never met a stranger. Her home was always open, warm, and filled with laughter — a haven for friends, neighbors, and anyone in need of a little extra love.
Unshakable in the face of adversity, Ginny was the rock of her family — calm, compassionate, and endlessly supportive. She guided her children through life’s challenges with patience, grace, and strength, always ready with a steady hand or a comforting word.
She leaves behind a large and loving family: Dawn Fiori of Medway; Vincent “Stephen” Fiori of Hyannis; Kevin (Deborah) Fiori, Susan Hafford, and Julie Fiori, all of Millis; Christopher (Stephanne) Fiori of Lancaster; Andrea Fiori of Nashua, NH; and daughter-in-law Donna Fiori, wife of the late James Fiori of Medway. Ginny is also survived by her stepchildren Denise (Michael) Petito of Vassalboro, ME; Nancy Gonzalez of Margate, FL; and Anthony “Tony” (Christine) Camoreyt of Worcester, MA.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Kenneth Kelliher of Englewood, FL, and predeceased by her siblings Doris and Andrew Hancock, and James and Mary Mills.
Ginny will be deeply missed by her 29 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends who adored her. Her grandchildren will forever cherish their memories of “Grandma,” “GiGi,” and “Triple G,” especially their beloved “magic carpet rides.”
Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff of Senior Helpers, Thomas Upham House, and Faith & Family Hospice for their compassionate care and kindness in Ginny’s final years.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 20, from 4–7 p.m. at Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street, Medway (ginleyfuneralhomes.com). Interment will take place privately at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
