Thomas J. Cassidy, 68, of Medway
1958 - 2026

Born in Natick on February 18, 1958, Tom was the son of the late Francis J. and Eileen G. (McKeown) Cassidy.

A lifelong resident of Medway, Tom graduated from Medway High School in 1976, where he was a standout athlete—playing basketball and serving as co-captain of both the football and track teams. He continued his education at Bridgeton Academy in Maine before earning his bachelor’s degree from Nichols College in Dudley.

Tom was the owner of “Junk It Now,” a waste and recycling removal business based in Medway. He also worked for many years as a school bus driver for Holmes Transportation.

He had a deep love for sports, especially basketball, both as a player and a coach. Tom also enjoyed traveling, with favorite destinations including Cape Cod, Florida, Wyoming, Montana, Arkansas, and Barbados. He found peace in the outdoors, often walking at places like Kalmus Beach in Hyannis, Siesta Key Beach in Florida, the Medway Trails, and especially the Fatima Shrine in Holliston.

Tom’s strong Christian faith was an important part of his life. He often shared the belief, “If God is with you, who can be against you? No one.”

He is survived by his siblings: Francis Cassidy of Medway; Joanne Cassidy of South Yarmouth; Eileen Yost and her husband Jeffrey of Etowah, North Carolina; Kathleen Wilmot of Middleboro; John Cassidy and his wife Linda of Medway; James Cassidy and his wife Donna of Medway; David Cassidy and his wife Carol of Medway; and Richard Cassidy of Medway.

Tom is also survived by his godchildren, Michael Cassidy and Kara Cassidy Sheridan, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom will cherish his memory.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street, Medway. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM.

Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
