He was the son of the late J. Raymond and Blanche (Lussier) Meade.
Tom enjoyed a life shaped by his love for the arts, especially musical theater and classical music. He also had a deep interest in film history, particularly the legacy of the Academy Awards.
In recent years, Tom delivered newspapers in the local area, remaining a familiar face in the community. Earlier in life, he worked in retail.
Tom is survived by two brothers, Raymond W. Meade (Janis) of Framingham and David Meade (Penny) of Mendon, as well as his sister, Maryanne Bardsley of Waltham and her companion Bob Gaudette. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, March 17, from 9:30–11:00 AM at the BUMA-SARGEANT Funeral Home, 42 Congress Street, Milford, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Burial will follow at Hopedale Village Cemetery, 1 Fitzgerald Drive, Hopedale.
