1944 - 2025
Born on November 8, 1944, in Casper, Wyoming, Theresa was the daughter of the late, Frank and Amelia (Desjourdy) Galas. She grew up in Uxbridge and was a graduate of Uxbridge High School before continuing her education at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, Massachusetts where she obtained her Nursing Certificate.
Theresa lived a life rooted in faith and service. She was a Parishoner of Saint Patrick's Church in Northbridge and a Eucharistic Minister. She also gave her time generously as someone who enjoyed Teaching CCD class, was an avid bowler, and a volunteer of the Northbridge Community Food Bank. Her compassion, steadiness, and quiet generosity left a lasting impression on everyone she served and loved.
Theresa leaves behind her four children: Timothy Nydam of Millbury, MA, Kenneth Nydam of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, Earl Nydam II of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Thomas Nydam of Chatam, New Jersey; as well as one brother, Thomas Galas of Charleston, South Carolina, one sister, Cindy Galas of Mobile, Alabama, eight grandchildren, and one greatgrandchild.
A Graveside Service will be held in the Spring at Pinegrove Cemetery in Northbridge.
