Shawna is survived by her daughter, Paula Locke; her grandchildren, Zachary and Ethan; her significant other, Jeff Currul; and her siblings, Steven Midkiff, Kelly Midkiff, Shane Midkiff, Dana Midkiff, and Paige Wellman. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Inez “Gaye” Goff (Lathey) and Thomas Neal Midkiff, and her brother, Timothy Midkiff.
Shawna was known as the life of the party. She loved being surrounded by people, making others laugh, and bringing fun wherever she went. She loved country music, football, NASCAR, good food, and was especially proud of her beautiful white hair.
Behind her outgoing personality was someone people could always turn to. Shawna was a thoughtful listener who offered advice when needed and made people feel heard and cared for. She shared a special bond with her family, particularly her siblings, and her laughter and love created countless memories that will be treasured.
During the final months of her life, Jeff remained by Shawna’s side, helping her through difficult appointments and caring for her when she became bedridden. His love and support meant so much to Shawna and her family.
Shawna will be remembered for her laughter, her ability to make people happy, her caring nature, and the deep love she had for those closest to her. She will be deeply missed, but the memories and love she gave to her family and friends will remain with them always.
