Ronald Wayne (Reggie) Wright, 59, of Hudson
1966 - 2026

Born in Framingham on November 29, 1966, he was the beloved youngest son of the late Cecil Wright Sr. and Eileen (Clayton) Wright.

Affectionately known as “Reggie,” a name he proudly chose in honor of his godfather, the late Deacon Reggie Hamilton of Beechville, Nova Scotia, he maintained a deep connection to his family’s roots in that community.

Reggie attended elementary and junior high school in Holliston before continuing his education at Keefe Technical School, where he was an active member of both the soccer and basketball teams, graduating in 1984.

A devoted Boston sports fan, Reggie loved following all of the city’s professional teams and was always ready to engage in spirited conversations about their triumphs and challenges. Known for his warm personality, he was a natural helper who, from a young age, was always eager to lend a hand. His broad smile, quick wit, and infectious laughter made him a cherished friend and companion to many. He was also considered an honorary member of the Folkes and Ralston families.

Reggie was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Eileen Wright; his grandparents, Howard and Georgina Wright, and Violet (Clayton) Ergas.

He is survived by his best friend and soulmate, Deb Hayes of Hudson; his brother, Cecil Wright Jr. and his wife Deb of Halifax, Nova Scotia; his children, George, Francine, Brittney, Elizabeth, Victoria, Jacob, and Ben; and his grandchildren, Felicity, Riley, Layla, Ava, Cecilia, Austin, and Presley. He is also survived by his niece, Danielle and her husband Blake, and his nephew, Dennis and his wife Brenda, both of Beechville, Nova Scotia, along with many great-nieces, great-nephews, and numerous cousins.

Reggie will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his kind heart, uplifting spirit, and the genuine joy he brought to those around him. He always chose to see the good in the world and worked in his own way to make it a better place.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Reggie’s life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 40 High Street, Holliston. Family and friends are invited to attend and share in his homegoing celebration.

Arrangements are under the care of Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
