Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on February 20, 1942, he was the son of the late Roger R. Talbot and Katherine (Kane) Talbot. Roger graduated from Classical High School in Worcester, Class of 1960, and later attended Worcester Junior College and Clark University. He proudly served in the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged.

He enjoyed golfing and was a former member of the Westborough Country Club. Roger loved watching sports, especially college basketball and football, and looked forward to lunches with his cousins, moments he cherished deeply. Above all else, he treasured spending time with his family.
