Born in Franklin, MA, she was the daughter of the late Francis Coutu and Leila (Littlehale) Coutu and attended public schools in Mendon, MA.
Rochelle first worked as a caretaker at various nursing facilities in the greater Milford, Mendon, and Blackstone area. She later became a machinist at her cousin’s business in Holliston, and went on to be employed for many years at Potpourri in Medway. Creative and handy, she loved all kinds of crafts and was an avid woodworker.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Keefe, and her husband Christopher, of Woodstock, CT; her three granddaughters, Paige, Payton, and Hailey Keefe, all of Woodstock, CT; and her five siblings: her twin brother Russell Coutu of Maine, Thomas Coutu of Florida, Edward Coutu and his wife Sarah of Iowa, Joanne Field of Maine, and Terri-Ann Desnoyers of Massachusetts; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Frances Lee Robinson, Florence Shepherd, Norma Sylvester, and Mark Coutu.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no funeral home visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford, MA.
