
1938 - 2026
Born and raised in Medford, Bob was the son of the late Wilson and Parthena (Yarn) Fudge. He graduated from Bentley College in 1957, proudly served in the United States Army, and enjoyed a distinguished career spanning more than four decades. He worked first as an accountant before entering banking, where he served as Treasurer and later Vice President of Framingham Savings Bank. Following his retirement in 2000, Bob spent the next 26 years enjoying life with family and friends.
Bob and Evelyn shared 62 years of marriage, raising their family in Framingham before spending nearly 20 years in Parrish, Florida. He was known for his cheerful greetings, positive outlook, and welcoming personality. A skilled cribbage and poker player, Bob especially enjoyed sunrise walks, coffee with friends, and ending the day with a good whiskey.
Community service was an important part of Bob's life. He was actively involved with DeMolay International, the Freemasonry, and served in leadership roles with the Boy Scouts of America, the United Way, and the The Episcopal Church.
In addition to his wife, Evelyn, Bob is survived by his children, Karen Ballou and her husband Joseph, and Kenneth Fudge and his wife Jacquelyn; his grandchildren, Christopher, William, Daniel, and Felicia; and his sisters, Sylvia Stratton and Nina Ross.
He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Lynda Fudge; and his brothers, Donald and Benjamin Fudge.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 16th, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, located at 45 Main Street in Upton. A Masonic service will take place at 6:45 PM.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17th at 10:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, located at 3 Pleasant Street in Sutton.
Committal with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery will be announced following the church service.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Bob's memory to the Arthritis Foundation.
