1933 - 2025
Born on October 12, 1933, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, Bob was an only child. After proudly serving in the United States Navy, he met the love of his life, Dorothy Porter, and the two married in 1958. They lived in Boston for five years before settling in Franklin, Massachusetts, in 1964, where they raised their family and made their home for more than six decades.
In addition to his active-duty service, Bob served his country for another twenty years in the Naval Reserves. Professionally, he worked for many years in electronics at The Foxboro Company, and even after retiring from Foxboro, he remained a familiar face in Franklin through various roles in local businesses.
Bob leaves behind his six children: Robert Wilson and his wife Alice of Memphis, Tennessee; Lynne Wilson of Franklin; Michael Wilson of Franklin; John Wilson of St. Petersburg, Florida; Paul Wilson and his wife Georgia of Clearwater, Florida; and Christopher Wilson of Franklin. He was the proud grandfather of Nicole Wilson, Amanda Wilson, Joshua Wilson and his wife Csilla, Augustus Wilson, Octavius Wilson, and Julius Wilson, and the delighted great-grandfather of Zora Wilson.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 6, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Franklin.
Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
