1956 - 2025
Richard was a deeply dedicated father to Gregory Philip Caroselli of Franklin and Leanna Marie Troiano and her husband, AJ, of Quincy. He was a constant presence in their lives—attending many games, performances, and school events—and will always be remembered as a supportive, proud, and loving dad. One of his greatest joys was becoming a grandfather to his beautiful grandson, Anthony Troiano, whom he cherished deeply.
A man of integrity and commitment, Richard spent his professional life in public service. He began his career with the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Department, later moving to the Trial Court in Dedham, where he rose to the role of Assistant Chief. He was passionate about his work and the people he served, frequently mentoring colleagues both professionally and personally. At the time of his retirement, Richard served as Chief of Trial Courts at Worcester County, overseeing the Dudley, East Brookfield, and Uxbridge courts.
Known to friends as Richie, he valued relationships and loyalty above all else. He maintained lifelong friendships from his childhood in Dedham, stayed closely connected with his Westfield State College buddies, and kept in touch with his work colleagues over the years. His kindness, guidance, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on many.
Richard will be remembered for his kind heart and assistance to so many people, both within his profession and throughout his personal life.
Funeral arrangements are being held privately and are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
