He was the beloved husband of Margaret A. (Colucci) Watson.
Born in Whitinsville, Richard was the son of the late Raymond and Florence (Dunlap) Watson. He was raised and educated in Whitinsville and graduated from Mendon High School.
Following high school, Richard proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Richard worked for 20 years as a dye maker for Dennison Manufacturing in Framingham. After retiring, he continued working as a delivery driver for an auto parts store in Milford, where he enjoyed staying active and connecting with people in the community.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Arthur Steed and his wife Kim of South Carolina, Margaret Kearsley of Upton, and Donna Watson of Rhode Island. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Richard was predeceased by his children, Maria Duffy and Richard Watson Jr.
He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his hard work, and his quiet strength throughout his life.
