Peter Chau Dinh Pho, 62, of Westborough
1963 - 2026

He was born in Central Vietnam in 1963 during a time of great conflict and uncertainty. As a teenager, Peter showed remarkable courage and responsibility, helping guide his sisters, nieces, and nephews to safety as they fled their homeland in search of a better life. Their journey took them across dangerous terrain and open water before they were ultimately rescued and resettled in the United States.

Peter later made his home in Boston, Massachusetts, where he began again with very little. Facing the challenges of a new country without knowing the language or having financial resources or support, he worked tirelessly to build a stable and meaningful life. Through determination and resilience, he learned a new language, adapted to unfamiliar surroundings, and established a strong foundation for himself and his family.

Over the years, Peter created a life defined by generosity, humility, and love. He was a dedicated husband to Quyen and a proud father to Tori and Sean. He found joy in cooking, sharing meals, singing, and bringing people together. His quiet acts of kindness—often done without recognition—left a lasting impact on those closest to him.

Peter will be remembered for his selflessness and the sacrifices he made to provide opportunities for his family. Whether through small, everyday gestures or life-changing decisions, he consistently placed others before himself.

He is survived by his wife, Quyen; his children, Tori and her husband Alex, and Sean and his wife Dana; along with many extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by his strength and compassion.

His legacy lives on through the family he built, the values he passed down, and the love he gave so freely. His life stands as a testament to resilience, sacrifice, and the enduring power of care and connection.

A funeral Mass at St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Westborough will be held privately with his family.

Donations in Peter’s memory may be made to the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (https://refugees.org/donate).
