December 8, 1935 - September 30, 2025
Born in Medway on December 8, 1935, the son of the late Leo and Delia (Stearns) Revell, Paul was a lifelong resident of the town he cherished. Remarkably, the original house where he was born once stood on the very property where he lived until his passing.
Paul’s work ethic was evident from an early age. At just six years old, he began earning money by delivering eggs to neighbors. As a boy, he raised beagles for hunting, and as a teenager, he worked the night shift as a bowling pin setter on Village Street, sometimes earning ten dollars in tips after a long night’s work. He later pumped gas at Gormley’s Corner and worked for about 12 years at Ruberoid, producing roofing products.
For 33 years, Paul proudly drove a cement mixer for Rosenfeld Concrete in Hopedale, earning a commendation from Governor Michael Dukakis for his perfect driving record. Yet, his truest calling was farming. A dedicated local farmer his entire life, Paul found immense joy in working the land and caring for “his girls,” the cows that were his daily companions. He especially loved tending to newborn calves and sharing memories of bringing his six daughters down to the farm to help roll hay bales. His sons also worked alongside him, helping clear trees to expand the pastures he loved so much. Known for his storytelling, Paul never missed a chance to share “a long five minutes” of tales and adventures.
In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his children Paula Cutler of Millis, Diane Glowka of Eaton, Ohio, Philip Revell of Medway, and Judith Stewart of Webster; and by his stepchildren Kimberly Lewis of Wrentham, Sabrina Green of Cumberland, Rhode Island, and Geoffrey Green of Cumberland, Rhode Island. He was predeceased by his children Pamela Revell, Linda Revell, Deborah Revell, and Peter Revell, as well as by his stepson Samuel S. Green.
Paul is also survived by his sister, Irene Mallozzi of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and was the brother of the late Leo Revell, James Revell, Isabelle (Revell) Cribby, Joseph Revell, Mary (Revell) Sadler, and Joanne (Revell) Dangelo. He leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street, Medway. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery on Oakland Street in Medway. Immediately following the burial, there will be a reception at Basil Restaurant, 43 Frairy Street in Medfield, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. All are welcome to join the family in remembering Paul and sharing stories of his life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to Medway Community Farm, 50 Winthrop Street, Medway, MA.
