Born in Framingham, Paul was the son of the late William and Kathleen (Mullen) Niermeyer. A talented carpenter with a strong work ethic, he dedicated his career to the construction industry, contributing to a wide range of commercial building projects, highway infrastructure, and the MetroWest Water Supply Tunnel. He was also a proud member of Laborers' International Union of North America Local 609.
Paul will be remembered for his easygoing personality, boundless curiosity, and compassion for animals. He found great enjoyment in reading, following sports, woodworking, and spending time with his beloved dogs. His quiet kindness and steady presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Haberski) Niermeyer; his sons, Eric and Steven; his siblings, Ann, Lisa, and Mark; and his cherished dogs, Nellie and Daisy. He was predeceased by his brothers, Earl and Karl.
Memorial services will be private.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brown Dog Coalition through Brown Dog Coalition or to a charity of one's choice.
