Nora E. Johnson, 69, of Uxbridge
1956 - 2025

Nora’s life was defined by kindness—an instinctive, wholehearted generosity that embraced not only her family but anyone lucky enough to enter her orbit. She had a rare ability to make people feel seen, valued, and loved. Many considered her chosen family, and Nora lovingly referred to them as her “network of light beings.”

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 33 years, R. Arlen Johnson, Esq. Together they raised two sons, Dylan Johnson and his wife Kamiah, and Steven Johnson, who carry forward her spirit of creativity, empathy, and joy. Nora’s greatest delight was her granddaughter, Mya Arlene Johnson, daughter of Steven, who truly was the light of her life.

Nora is survived by her brothers Daniel Salomon, David Ron Salomon, Billy Joe SanGiacomo, Carlos Matos, Mario Matos, and her sisters Rachel Salomon, Linda Matos, Rebecca Matos, and the late Yasmine Matos. Her extended family of nieces, nephews, and the many people she welcomed into her life will forever remember her bright energy and boundless heart.

In her mid-60s, Nora lost her ability to walk, a challenge that brought into her life a profound blessing—her caretaker, Eunice Ankrah. Through shared faith, fellowship, and deep mutual respect, Eunice’s care strengthened Nora’s spirit and allowed her to be supported with the same love and compassion she had always given so freely to others.

Nora nurtured a home that radiated joy, spontaneity, and creativity. She effortlessly became “Big Mama” to her sons’ friends, offering comfort, humor, and a place that felt like home. Whether planning crafts, nature walks, road trips, or simple gatherings full of laughter, Nora had a gift for turning everyday moments into cherished memories. Her “most distinguished art form was love,” a love both unmistakable and immeasurable—felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

For those who truly knew her, Nora’s memory will feel like “a warm breeze and an endless hug.” Her light remains, guiding her loved ones with the same grace, generosity, and affection she shared throughout her lifetime.
