Nicholas “Nick” R. LaRosa, 90, of Franklin
1935 - 2025

Born in Boston on September 14, 1935, Nick was the son of the late Paolo LaRosa and Grace (Bombaci) LaRosa. He was raised in South Boston and was a graduate of Charlestown High School.

Nick and Lillian moved to Franklin in 1963, where they raised their six children and built a life centered on family and hard work. In 2015, they relocated to Marco Island, beginning their retirement years together in Florida.

Nick spent his entire career working as an electrician, eventually owning his own business for many years, a source of pride and independence throughout his life.

He proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine, enlisting in 1953 during the Korean conflict, an experience that shaped his strong work ethic and sense of discipline.

Outside of work, Nick enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed woodworking, and spending time with his buddies, valuing friendship and camaraderie just as deeply as family.

He is survived by his children Robert LaRosa and his wife Ann of Franklin, Debra Karas and her husband Peter of Blackstone, Steven LaRosa and his wife Laura of Port Charlotte, Florida, Susan LaRosa of Hopedale, Scott LaRosa and his wife Robin of Franklin, and Patrick LaRosa and his wife Leslie of Franklin.

Nick was the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren, including Joshua and Eric LaRosa who predeceased him, and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his legacy.

His legacy will live on for years.

Services will be held at a later date to be announced.

Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
