Nancy G. Nogueira, 94, of Milford
1932 - 2026

Born and raised in Milford, Nancy was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1949. She was the daughter of Maria (DiCanio) Petti and Leonardo Petti, both of Foggia, Italy. She was the beloved wife of the late James Nogueira, who passed away in 2023.

Nancy spent her early years working as a telephone operator before attending the Modern School of Fashion and Design in Boston, where she pursued her love of art. She and her husband, James, later founded JaNan Gallery, a Milford business that operated from 1975 to 1985 and specialized in picture framing, art classes, and art supplies.

An accomplished artist, Nancy received numerous awards at juried art shows for her watercolor paintings, including recognition from the New England Watercolor Society. In her later years, her family became the center of her life. She and James treasured family gatherings and worked to keep their family ties strong.

Nancy is survived by her three children, Jim Nogueira, Linda Piscia, and John Nogueira. She also leaves eight grandchildren, Julia Charron, Corey Nogueira, Austin Piscia, Aaron Piscia, Alex Piscia, Lindsey Nogueira Mayo, Brian Nogueira, and Matt Nogueira; and four great-grandchildren, Luke Charron, Anna Charron, Camden Piscia, and Jake Piscia.

She was predeceased by her husband, James; her brothers, Leo Petti Jr. and Anthony Petti; and her sisters, Philomena Fullum and Grace Daniels.

Nancy will be remembered for her artistic talent, kind and gentle spirit, devotion to her family, and the love she brought to those around her. Her family will carry forward the legacy of love and togetherness that meant so much to her.

Calling hours will be held Monday, September 21st, 2026, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, located at 46 Water Street, Milford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church on Winter Street in Milford.

Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Cedar Street in Milford.
