Nancy Elizabeth MacKinnon, 76, of Boston/Uxbridge
1949 - 2025

After completing her education at Uxbridge High School, Nancy spent much of her adult life in Boston, a city she truly embraced. She was a true city spirit who immersed herself in Boston and remained a lifelong, passionate fan of the Red Sox, proudly carrying that devotion with her wherever she went.

Professionally, Nancy built a meaningful career through her work as an Administrative Assistant for Dr. Herbert Benson. In that role, she supported pioneering research on mind-body medicine and the relaxation response, contributing to work that helped improve and transform many lives.

Outside of her career, Nancy enjoyed to travel and express herself through creative projects. She had a special fondness for animals and a love for cats, especially her cherished Trixie, who held a dear place in her heart.

Nancy is survived by her brother, Douglas MacKinnon of Uxbridge (husband of the late Julie MacKinnon), and her sister-in-law, Joan MacKinnon of Uxbridge (wife of the late Robert MacKinnon). She also leaves behind her nephews, Keith MacKinnon of Douglas, MA, and Cory MacKinnon of Coatesville, PA, and her niece, Eleanor Chase of Melbourne, FL. She was a loving great-aunt to her great-niece and great-nephews: Layla, Raylan, Landon, and Mack, all of whom she adored deeply.

Those who knew Nancy will remember her for her remarkable memory and a quick, clever wit that could brighten any conversation.

Funeral services will be held privately.
