She was the beloved wife of the late John E. Finnerty Sr. who died in 1999. Born and raised in Boston MA, Nancy was the daughter of the late William Camillo and the late Anna (Santarpio) Camillo. She was educated in the Boston public schools, graduating from high school, before beginning her working life.
As a young woman, Nancy was first employed at the former Brine Corporation located in Milford MA. She later spent many years working at the former Hallmark Store located in Milford MA, where her warm personality and dedication were well known. She had been a resident of Milford MA since 1963, a town she proudly called home for more than six decades.
Nancy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved her shopping trips, walking, playing cards, especially Solitaire, and coloring. Above all else, her favorite pastime was spending time with her beloved family members, especially her grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness and pride.
She is survived by her 3 children: Cathy Anderson of Uxbridge MA, Debora Finnerty and her partner Peter Recore of Milford MA and John Finnerty Jr. and his wife Tracy of Milford MA. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Briana Fay of Milford MA, Kylie Finnerty of Boston MA and Jared Finnerty of Boston MA, along with her brother: Anthony Camillo and his wife May of Wollaston MA, and several nieces & nephews.
Nancy was the sister of the late Louis Camillo; the late Viola McGovern; the late William Camillo Jr.; the late Bettina Stone and the late Anna Brady.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday (February 14th) at 11am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Saturday morning (February 14th) from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, prior to her Funeral Services.
