Mr. Vincent James DeIeso, 94, of Milford

Mr. Vincent James DeIeso, 94, of Milford MA passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday (November 7, 2023) surrounded by his loving & cherished family.  He was the beloved husband of the late Frances (Pafume) DeIeso for over 68 years.

Jimmy was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Bernardo “Benny” DeIeso and the late Maria “Nellie” (Marseglia) DeIeso. He grew up in the Plains neighborhood of Milford and later lived on Highland Street in the home he lovingly built to raise his family in. It was a home that became the setting for many large family gatherings throughout the years, where everyone would bring amazing food and enjoy lots of laughter, friendship and love.

Jimmy is survived by his children: Elaine DeIeso Keosaian and her husbnand Greg Keosaian and Deborah Ann DeIeso and her husband Steven Frechette; grandchildren Francesca Helen DeIeso-Frechette and James Bartro and his wife Kerrianne (Fitzgerald) Bartro; and great grandchildren Jackson, Madison, and Trenton Bartro.

Jimmy was predeceased by Carlo and Gloria (Tumolo) DeIeso, Josephine (DeIeso)  and Cleo Vitali, and Nancy (DeIeso) and Tony DiPietro. He was the loving uncle, cousin and friend of so many nieces, nephews, cousins, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, and friends.

Jimmy attended Milford High School before serving in the US Army from 1951 -1953 where he gained the rank of corporal in the 28th Infantry Division. During his service he was posted in Georgia and Germany where he enjoyed skiing and traveling to visit family in Italy.

Jimmy was employed most of his life as a stone mason and brick layer. He built amazing structures that he would proudly point out to family for generations to come. His work with the Tribiano Company and later Wellesley Construction brought him to work sites across the Commonwealth, including Bentley College where he helped build many important structures such as the library and the president’s house. His pride in his work was always on display in the hearths and fireplaces of his home on Highland Street, but also on projects in many other places. The walls he built for the Hutt family in Westborough, the Groton Police Station, amazing arches at a restaurant in Salem, and stone walls and hearths in fine homes in Wayland and Sharon, just to name a few.

Jimmy loved being in the outdoors and spent hours tending to many gardens on the property. He would spend August delivering tomatoes to friends and family near and far
