
1930 - 2025
Born in Milford, Ken was the son of the late Kenneth R. Evers and Agnes E. (Fougere) Evers. He was educated in the former St. Mary’s Grammar School and St. Mary’s High School, beginning a life defined by dedication, service, and devotion to family.
Ken proudly served his country in both the United States Army from 1947–1950 and the United States Navy from 1951–1955. After his military career, he spent more than 25 years working for Fenwal Corporation in Ashland, MA.
Active throughout his life, Ken was a past member of the Knights of Columbus, a longtime member of the Milford Ski Club, and volunteered as a Boy Scout leader while raising his family—roles that reflected his commitment to community and mentorship.
Ken is survived by his five children: David Evers (Mary Ellen) of Milford; Edward Evers (Paulette) of Uxbridge; Russell Evers (Mary Lynn) of Naples, FL; James Evers (Joseph Giordano) of Milford; and Dr. Patrice Evers (James Scioneaux) of New Orleans. He also leaves six grandchildren—Kelly Carillon of Columbus, GA; Angela Evers of Uxbridge; Susan Evers of Millville; Russell Evers of Naples, FL; Hunter Evers of Needham; and Jacob Rosenfeld of Cincinnati, OH—along with six great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by three siblings: Barbara Speranza of Hopkinton, Thomas Evers of Uxbridge, and Harold Evers of Rhode Island; as well as several nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by eight siblings: Marion Reynolds, Eleanor Covino, Dorothy Ciaramicoli, Joanne Buell, Linda Parker, John Evers, Robert Evers, and Donald Evers.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6, beginning with a visiting hour from 10:30–11:30 a.m. at Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 noon at Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale. Burial with Military Honors will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Milford.
