1946 - 2025
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Carl was the son of the late Edward and Irene (Johnson) Eden. He attended Hopedale Public Schools and remained a lifelong resident of the town he loved.
For many years, Carl owned and operated his own landscaping business in the greater Milford area. Earlier in life, he worked as caretaker at the Hopedale Community House, where he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly nature.
Carl was an avid bowler and a talented candlepin player in his younger days. A passionate New England sports fan, he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. He cherished family trips to Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and enjoyed catching up with friends at the former Tradesman Tavern in Milford. Most mornings, he could be found sharing coffee and laughter with his close friend Andy Cox, a daily tradition that meant the world to him.
Carl is survived by his daughter, Carlette C. Roda and her husband Domingos Roda of Milford, and his nephew Jeff Billings. He was predeceased by his sister Judy Stanas and his nephew Tobby Billings.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place. A private committal service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Milford at the convenience of his family.
