Born in Medford, MA, Benjamin was the son of the late Arthur Wood and the late Marilyn (Barker) Wood. He attended The Cambridge School in Weston, MA, graduated from Newton North High School, and later attended Clark University in Worcester, MA.
Benjamin was employed as a computer technician at MediTech Computer Company for 20 years, most recently working out of the Norwood, MA, offices. A former member of the Masons Lodge in Holliston, MA, he loved art and music—a trait he inherited from his father, an artist at RISD—and his favorite pastime was food, especially cooking.
Along with his beloved wife of 27 years, he is survived by his stepdaughters, Juliane Vieira and her husband Jean Vieira of Medway, MA, and Danielle Bernarges and her husband Renato Bernarges of Hopkinton, MA; three granddaughters, Laura Bernarges, Layla Bernarges, and Liz Bernarges; and three siblings, George Stuart-Vail and his wife Cheryl of Amherst, NH, Mary Stuart-Vail of Tewksbury, MA, and Amy Spencer of Derry, NH; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Bradford Wood, who died in 1989.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held by his family at a day and time to be announced.
