Mildred “Millie” May Weir, 94, of Westborough
1931 - 2026

Millie is survived by her brother, Jerry Cilley (Shirley) of Windsor, New Hampshire, and her children: Richard Weir (Patricia), of Daytona Beach, Florida and Arundel, Maine; Robert Weir (Pamela) of Frisco, Texas; Cheryl Gaylord (Jay) of Ware, Massachusetts; William Weir (JoAnn) of Boylston, Massachusetts; and Deborah Baum of Westchester, Ohio. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Renee Paire, Jonathan Weir, William Weir, Tracy Bouffard, Kristin Demers, Jason Weir, Derek Gaylord, Matthew Weir, Meaghan Held, and Elizabeth Gregory, along with seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Curtis; her son Ronald; five brothers—Raymond, Richard, George, Clyde, and Roger; three sisters—Ida Hobbs, Betty Jones, and Violet Rhiendeau; and one grandchild Eric Weir, son-in-law David Baum, and grandson-in-law John Paire.

Millie devoted many years to raising her children and lovingly babysitting her grandchildren. Once her children were older, she worked in the food service industry for many years at the Westborough Turnpike Service Center before retiring. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and love for her family, especially the joy she found in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as the many friendships she formed throughout her life.

In her later years, Millie resided at Brookdale Eddy Pond Assisted Living in Auburn, Massachusetts, and Holden Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Holden, Massachusetts. She was an enthusiastic participant in community life, especially enjoying Bingo, Trivia, and musical entertainment. She found comfort, peace, and happiness in these settings and was deeply appreciative of the additional compassion and support provided by The Jewish Hospice Care staff from Worcester.

Known affectionately as “Nana” and “Great Nana,” Millie was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, at 10:00 A.M. in the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main Street, Westborough. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery will be private. There are no calling hours.
