Born in Boston on December 21, 1941, he was the son of the late Michael and Margaret (Colleran) Regan. Michael grew up in the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston, where he developed lifelong friendships and a strong sense of community. He was a proud graduate of Mission High School.
A resident of Medway for more than 52 years, Michael was well known and deeply respected in both his professional and personal life. He was the founder of Photronix Corporation, which he owned and operated for many years until his retirement. Before founding his company, he worked at Barnstead in Boston, where he honed his technical expertise and entrepreneurial drive.
Michael cherished time spent with his family and especially loved vacationing in Marshfield at his summer home, where many special memories were made.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen, his son Matthew Regan and his wife Jennifer of Marshfield, his daughter Deborah Battaglia and her husband Richard of Arlington, and two adored grandchildren, Sam and Audrey Battaglia, who brought him great joy and pride.
Michael is also survived by his sister Fran O’Brien of Medway; his brother Bernie Regan and his wife Chris of Norwood; his sister-in-law Kathy Regan of Millis; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Jack Regan and brother-in-law William O’Brien.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, October 27, from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street, Medway (ginleyfuneralhomes.com), followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village Street, Medway.

Michael will be remembered for his warmth, humor, entrepreneurial spirit, and the deep love he held for his family and friends. His presence will be missed but his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
