Michael D. Albro, 54, of Medway
1971 - 2026

Born in Worcester on October 6, 1971, he was the son of David and Laura Albro of Holliston and the late Barbara (Bates) Wade.

Mike graduated from Holliston High School in 1989 and later attended Worcester Industrial Technical Institute, where he trained to become an optician.

As a child, Mike spent countless hours fishing with his brother Jonathan at Lake Winthrop in Holliston, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. He especially enjoyed freshwater and ice fishing. Mike was also a talented athlete in his younger years, excelling as a shortstop and pitcher in baseball. He and his brother spent endless afternoons in the backyard playing catch and practicing curveballs together.

A devoted New England Patriots fan, Mike also had a lifelong love for animals, particularly cats and dogs. He was an enthusiastic Star Wars fan and named his beloved Yellow Lab “Vader” after the iconic character.

In addition to his father and stepmother, Mike is survived by his children, David and Amanda Albro; his four grandchildren; his half-siblings, Olivia and Jesse; his former wife, Lisa (Welch) Albro; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. He shared a particularly close bond with his uncle, Bob Toth.

Mike was predeceased by his brother, Jonathan Albro.

A remembrance gathering will be held on Saturday, May 16, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe Street.

The scattering of ashes will take place privately.
