Mary M Iacovelli, 74, of Hopedale
1951 - 2026

Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on October 18, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Edward X. Quinn and Nora M. (Costello) Quinn.

Mary raised her family in Mendon alongside her former husband, Robert “Boo” Iacovelli. Although no longer married, the two remained very close friends throughout the years, and he will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her three children: Daniel Iacovelli and his longtime partner Alicia Sayewich of Hopedale, along with their children Nicholas, Aiden, and Alexander; Alicia Hanson and her husband William of Mendon and their children Samantha, Kaylie, and Scott; and Timothy Iacovelli of Milford. She also leaves behind her great-grandson Joseph, the son of Kaylie.

Mary is further survived by her brothers, Edward Quinn and his wife Maureen, and James Quinn and his wife Linda; her sister, Anne Shattuck and her husband Howie; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her sister, Bernadette Quinn.

Mary will be fondly remembered for her warmth, creativity, and love of family gatherings—especially during the holidays, when she enjoyed making her beloved sausage stuffing, cookies, pizza, and other family favorites. She found joy in singing in the church choir, performing with local theater productions, knitting, researching family genealogy, reading, traveling, and spending meaningful time with family and friends.

Her kindness, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water Street, Milford.
