Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Uglietta) and Pasquale Reale. She was the wife of 33 years to the late Carroll Gillespie, who passed away in 2010.
Mimi lived in Medford and Somerville before making her home in Holliston, where she lived for more than 17 years. She had been a longtime member of St. Catherine’s Parish in Somerville and later became an active member of Mission Springs in Holliston. One of her favorite pastimes was playing cards with her close group of friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Julia Cullen and her husband Fred of Holliston; her brother, Charlie Reale and his wife Dawn of Waltham; and her two granddaughters, Aubrey and Sarah. She also leaves behind her niece Amy Reale; grandniece Bianca Harvey; grandnephew Sonny Harvey; and many cousins.
Mimi was predeceased by her brother, Frank Reale.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington Street. A funeral service will follow at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
