Born in Galesburg, Illinois, Margaret was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Donaldson) Inman and grew up in Coal City, Illinois.
Margaret attended the University of Illinois, where she met the love of her life, Tom Beling. The couple married in 1953 and eventually made their home in Framingham, Massachusetts, where they raised their four children: Patti, Craig, Steve, and John.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Margaret’s life revolved around her family. She was fiercely loyal, endlessly loving, and always present when her family needed her. After the passing of her husband, Tom, in 2009, she later moved to Holliston to be closer to family and continued doing what she loved most—supporting her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in every stage of life.
Whether it was a sporting event, school function, performance, or celebration, Margaret could almost always be found in attendance, proudly cheering on those she loved.
Born into a world without electricity, Margaret embraced technology with remarkable enthusiasm. Family and friends often joked that she was one of the most technologically savvy nonagenarians around. She was known for quickly liking social media posts, sending birthday wishes faster than anyone else, and staying connected to those she loved through every available means.
In addition to her children, Margaret leaves behind 14 cherished grandchildren: Kevin, Johannah, Michael, Sarah, Eliza, Jeff, Caitlin, Camille, Jake, Paul, Henry, Max, Daniel, and Thomas. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Felix, Emery, Arlo, Weston, Sam, Simone, Leila, and Paige.
Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the hospice caregivers who provided compassionate care, as well as her dear friend Jess, whose support and kindness meant so much during Margaret’s final chapter.
Margaret will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to family, her warm heart, her adaptability, and her ability to make everyone feel loved and supported. Her legacy lives on through the generations she helped shape and the countless memories she leaves behind.
Memorial services will be held later this year.
